It's quite exciting...I got a call from a new gallery in town whom I had spoken with months ago. They are finally ready to open and thus good news for me. They are going to exhibit 10 of
my pieces... 12 if I manage to finish the two I started a few months ago before Thursday when I need to go and drop them off... I truly have no idea what it will bring... however it's exciting to put up all my work in one place. Perhaps it will inspire me to paint more as my house will be completely devoid of artwork for 3 months... The walls will look mighty bare... there is talk of putting up some of
Fredu's pictures to fill the void. We are fortunate to have such choices :)
Baby watch is in full alert... not for mine of course but last night as I was speaking with mum on the phone her other line rang twice and we both were anxious to hear if it was seestor with news of her sprog... nothing but telemarketers from Bangalore named Jim. Apparently in Canada they have taken to getting their Indian call centre employees to use more western names in an attempt to mask the fact they are calling from India... I don't get it. What's wrong with using their real names? It's still annoying whether it's Jim or Gervinder!?!?!? Do they not realise a very hefty percentage of my mum's town's residents are also from India? Doesn't make much sense...
Baby classes last night were all about the hospital and what types of births you can have... It's pretty cut and dry here... pain control or no pain control seem to be the only options... no fancy birthing pools or Doolahs here folks just plain and simple birth. I'm not so hot on the 48h hospital stay. I'm planning to have a quick birth and I want to get out of there and home asap... maybe I'll have to make a break for it... Mind you, the hospital is right on the beach and looks out to the sea thus perhaps a sea side break after the toils of birthing may be well appreciated...
